Bjarkalundur – Jörð
Jörðin er 58,5 hektarar að stærð á einum fallegasta stað landsins, margar náttúruperlur eru í nánasta umhverfi. Á jörðinni er allt Berufjarðarvatn sem er ca. 15 hektarar að stærð er inn á landareigninni. Góð veiði er í vatninu og aðstaða fyrir báta. Jörðin er mjög falleg, og myndar landslag jarðarinnar gott skjól í kringum hótelið þannig að það er mikil veðursæld á svæðinu. Jörðin er stór og býður jörðin uppá fjölbreytta og spennandi möguleika varðandi uppbyggingu og þróun. Mikið og fjölbreytt fuglalíf er við vatnið. Jörðin er mjög falleg og gróðursæl með miklu landslagi.

Hótel Bjarkalundur - Fasteignir
Fasteignir á landareigninni eru alls 9 talsins, samtals 1.015 fm. og skiptast í hótel, þjónustumiðstöð, 6 smáhýsi og starfsmannahús. Samtals gistirými er fyrir yfir 50 manns og miklir stækkunarmöguleikar. Hótelið býður uppá fjölbreytta möguleika. Stórt bílaplan með bundnu slitlagi er fyrir framan hótelið, planið er stórt þannig að hægt er að taka á móti stórum rútum.

Hótel. Um er að ræða 19 tveggja til þriggja manna herbergi, stór veitingasalur/veislusalur, veitingasala, setustofa, bar, sjoppa, verslun, salernisaðstaða fyrir ferðafólk, fullbúið stórt eldhús með öllum búnaði. Við eldhúsið eru tveir stórir kælar og einn stór frystir.

Smáhýsi. Um er að ræða 6 fullbúin ca. 20 fm. smáhýsi, í öllum húsunum er sturta og salerni og í þrem húsunum er eldunaraðstaða. Gistirými fyrir 2 til 3 í hverju húsi.

Starfsmannahús. Um er að ræða hús fyrir starfsmenn, í húsinu eru 7 herbergi ásamt eldhúsi/setustofu og baðherbergi.

Þjónustuhús. Um er að ræða þjónustuhús sem þjónustar tjaldstæðið. Í húsinu eru þrjú aðskilin salerni með sturtuaðstöðu.

Tjaldstæði. Þjónustuskáli og stórt tjaldstæði. Salernis-,eldunar og sturtuaðstaða. Góð aðstaða fyrir tjaldgesti, hjólhýsi og húsbýla. Heitt og kalt vatn. Rafmagnsinnstungur á tjaldstæði. Leiktæki fyrir börn.

Afþreying.
Á jörðinni er allt Berufjarðarvatn sem er ca. 15 hektarar. er inn á landareigninni. Góð veiði í vatninu og aðstaða fyrir báta. Berufjarðarvatn ( Hótel Bjarkalundur ) er í samstarfi við Veiðikortið og kemur mikið af fólki til að veiða í vatninu og gjarnan gistir fólkið á hótelinu og kaupir veitingar. Mikið og fjölskrúðugt fuglalíf er við vatnið og er vatnið mjög vinsæll áningarstaður hjá fuglaskoðunarfólki, algengt er að fuglaskoðunarfólkið gisti á hótelinu í tvær til þrjár nætur. Við vatnið er aðstaða fyrir smábáta og er mjög vinsælt að sigla um á kajak á vatninu.
Jörðin er mjög falleg og gróðursæl með miklu landslagi og eru margar fallegar gönguleiðir á landareigninni. Beint upp frá hótelinu er hægt að ganga alla leið upp á topp á Vaðalfjöllum sem er mjög vinsælt, þar er gestabók og þaðan er útsýni yfir sex sýslur. Gönguleiðin upp á Vaðalfjöll er inn á göngu appinu Wapp, en appið sýnir nákvæmlega gönguleiðina í símanum og einnig eru upplýsingar um svæðið ásamt myndum, appið er mjög vinsælt á meðal göngufólks. Einnig er mjög algengt að viðskiptavinir gisti í þrjá til fimm nætur og fari í dagsferðir frá Hótel Bjarkalundi og skoði sig um á sunnanverðum vestfjörðum og á ströndum, en þar eru mjög margar fallegar náttúruperur.

Rekstur.
Rekstur Bjarkalundar hefur gengið vel síðustu árin, en Hótel Bjarkalundur er eitt elsta sumarhótel landsins og þekkja nær allir landsmenn Hótel Bjarkalund. Rekstrartekjur hótelsins myndast með eftirfarandi hætti: seldar veitingar,vörur og þjónusta, seld gisting til hótelgesta, tekjur frá N1, tekjur vegna tjaldsstæðis. Rétt er að benda á að Hótel Bjarkalundur þjónustar mjög stórt landssvæði og er aðal áningastaðurinn mjög stóru svæði.

Ferðaþjónusta.
Hótelið og jörðin býður upp á fjölbreytta möguleika í framtíðinni, en það væri hægt að stækka hótelið og fjölga herbergjum og einnig væri hægt að fjölga smáhýsum með lítilli fyrirhöfn.

Í tilkynningu frá Íslandsstofu og Vestfjarðarstofu kemur fram að val Lonely Planet muni beina kastljósi heimsbyggðarinnar að Vestfjörðum sem mun reynast mikil lyftistöng fyrir ferðaþjónustuna á svæðinu og á Íslandi almennt. 

Vegaframkvæmdir.
Vegagerðin bauð út fyrsta áfangann í fyrirhuguðum vegaframkvæmdum sem felast í því að þvera næstu þrjá firðina norðanmegin við Bjarkalund. Þessir firðir heita Þorskafjörður, Djúpifjörður og Gufufjörður.
Vegagerðin er búinn að semja við verktaka um fyrsta áfangann og hófust framkvæmdir um vorið 2021. Fyrsti áfangin er fólgin í því að þvera Þorskafjörð með landfyllingu og brú, en verkinu er nú þegar lokið. Verkið heitir hjá Vegagerðinni, Vestfjarðavegur (60) um Gufudalssveit. Þegar ofangreindum vegaframkvæmdum er lokið mun leiðin vestur styttast mjög mikið og verður þessi vegur aðal leiðin alla leið vestur á Ísafjörð í nánustu framtíð. Einnig er vegagerðin búin að semja við verktaka um að leggja nýjan veg um Teigskóg, en verkinu er nú þegar lokið.

The IRCA has already negotiated with the contractor for the first phase, and construction began in the spring of 2021. The first phase consists of crossing Þorskafjörður with an embankment and a bridge. The IRCA calls this project Vestfjarðavegur (60) around Gufudalssveit.
